Welcome!

Taking WSET Level 2 completely changed the way I think about wine. (I speak more about this in my Wine Wisdom series—check out part I and part II for more.)

While I was never a total novice, I definitely considered myself more “wine adjacent” — someone who enjoyed a good glass occasionally but leaned far more cocktail-forward and still found wine culture a little intimidating. The course not only gave me a much deeper appreciation for wine itself, but also made me realize how approachable and experiential learning wine can be. This series is my attempt to help bring some of that home.

I’m excited for the endless opportunities we have as I create more themed pairings ahead — cheers!

I named my “winehouse” after my 14-year old rescue dog, Poppy, but I encourage you to come up with a fun name for yours as well!
